Experimental Watercolour Workshop
3rd December 2016, 10.00 – 16.00, People’s Hall, Howgill Lane, Sedbergh, LA10 5DE, cost £36, tel 015396 21031.
We experiment with texture, pattern, and effects with salt, cling film etc. to create interesting watercolour surfaces – learning to apply these fun things in more serious work but also learning through play and experiment how to handle this demanding medium. We will also cover use of washes, wet in wet painting and other aspects of watercolour work. The workshop will free up experienced painters and be a good starting point for novices.

Each year I teach a spring painting course at the wonderfully restored 200 year-old farmhouse in the foothills of the Sierra Almijara. The next course is from 1st to 8th April, 2017, however there are no places left.
The 2017 cost was £850 for a shared room or £975 for a single room, which includes full board accommodation and transport to and from Malaga airport, as well as the course itself. We have not yet committed to running a course in 2018, but if we do, the cost would probably be higher due to the Brexit devaluation of sterling.
